David Leon Walker

David Leon Walker was born January 2, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas, and went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2026, in Southlake, Texas. He met the love of his life at Arlington Community Church, and they began their life together on January 11, 1980. After graduating from UTA, David began his career at General Dynamics, later known as Lockheed Martin, in Fort Worth as a cost analyst for international procurement. He retired in October of 2020 after 37 years. David had a deep love for books of all genres. He had a vast collection and usually would read more than one book at a time. David also loved listening to music. Classical music was his favorite style. As a child he enjoyed playing baseball, tennis, golf, fishing, and hunting.

David was a man of integrity, high morals, and deep faith. He was a member of Arlington Community Church where he was able to worship and share his love of God. He had a beautiful tenor voice, and he used it to sing in the choir and special men’s groups.

He is preceded in death by parents Ivan and Luvenia Walker, and granddaughter Zoe Denison. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Joellen Walker, children Amy (Tommy) Richardson, Bret Denison, three grandsons Jacob Richardson, Joseph Richardson, Noah Denison, sister Carol (Pat)Findley, nieces and nephews Matthew (Samantha) Findley, Leann (Spencer) Maxwell, and Natalie (Herman) Arguello.
