Darla Kay Sulecki of Hurst, Texas went to be with her heavenly father on February 23, 2025. She will always be remembered as a loving and loyal mother, wife, sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was born on September 29, 1962 in Lubbock, Texas; the youngest of three daughters to Charles E. and Marlene Watkins Clark.

Darla lived the entirety of her life in Texas. She graduated at the top of her high school class in Denver City, Texas where she participated in various school activities and sports. One of her most favorite memories was being band princess and drum major of the high school band. An avid crafter of all mediums, she was willing to try new trends and had a passion for scrapbooking. Known for the best hugs and wonderful story telling, Darla was passionate about family and was always there for her friends. She had a fondness for sports, particularly baseball and hockey. Her family hosted many rising athletes during their young careers.  Following a long career with GTE/Verizon, Darla was currently employed with Haltom City as a code enforcement officer for over a decade.

She is survived by husband Tim Sulecki, son Brandon Jones of San Angelo, Texas, son Tyler Sulecki and daughter Tawny Sulecki of Hurst, Texas Sisters Brenda Hawley (Thomas) of Waco, Texas and Ranee Holcomb (Mike) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nieces Tara Pinkerton (Chip) of Broken Bow, OK, Brandi Overstreet and Jayme Hawley of Coleman, Texas.

She is preceded in death by parents Marlene Watkins Harber and Charles Clark. 

Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday March 8, 2025 at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Hurst Texas. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to your local animal shelter or cancer research/association
