Danny Clyde Kimberling, 84, of Alvarado, Texas passed away unexpectedly at home on October 7, 2026. Danny was born on September 17, 1942 and raised in Fort Worth. He graduated from Polytechnical High School in Fort Worth in 1960.

Danny worked for restaurants until he opened his own hamburger and ice cream parlor called The Eagle's Nest in Crowley. He later managed the sporting goods department at Wal-Mart for over 20 years until he retired at age 70 in 2012. Working in sporting goods allowed Danny to embrace his love of fishing and hunting. He spent many weekends on the lake or at the deer lease.

Danny married his wife, Cyndy, on May 14, 1983. To his family Danny was lovingly known as Dad, PaPa, PawPaw and PaPa D. He could easily strike up a conversation with anyone as if he had known them his entire life. He was always ready with a joke, a beer, a fishing or hunting story and bragging about his grandchildren’s accomplishments. Any and everyone riding in the truck with Danny would have the “opportunity” to listen to talk radio with him. He was never shy about his opinions on national and world events even if you did not want to hear them. You always knew where you stood with Danny because he would let you know.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ila Kimberling, his parents-in-law Jack and Gladys Pankonien, his son Dan Kimberling and sister-in-law Carolyn Kimberling.

Danny is survived by his wife, Cyndy, his children Dannelle Kimberling, Darron Kimberling, and Tarra Sahim (Kevin), sister Gail Baxter (Ron), brother Don Kimberling, grandchildren Daniel Luna, Derrick Luna (Megan), Danielle Luna, Ashley Kimberling, Julia Kimberling, Jaxson Knight and Hudsen Knight, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends that were like family to him.

Danny’s devotion to his family and the numerous memories he created will remain with all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
