Cynthia Marilyn Cote, born on October 12, 1954, in Concord, New Hampshire, peacefully departed this world on November 14, 2025, at her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Surrounded by her beloved family, Cynthia faced a long and arduous battle with cancer with remarkable courage and determination, embodying a spirit of resilience that inspired everyone around her.
Cynthia found her "happy place" in Wister, Oklahoma, where she cherished the simple joys of nature, particularly the moments spent feeding the ducks and birds, especially cardinals. Her connection to these beautiful creatures reflected her nurturing nature and her affinity for the beauty of life.
Predeceased by her parents, George Roger Cote and Marguerite (Peggy) Cote (LaBranche), as well as her sister Janice Cote and brother Roger Cote, Cynthia leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her aunt Kay, her sister Jill Cote, her sons Jason Benson and his wife Lydia, and Ryan Benson and his wife Jennifer. Additionally, she is the proud grandmother of six grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Cynthia's best friend, Martha Wyatt, also holds a special place in her heart and will remember her fondly.
Cynthia was the heart of her family, a guiding light whose love will forever shine bright in the lives she touched. Though we miss her dearly, we find solace in the thought that she now soars with the cardinals, watching over us with grace and peace. Her memory will live on in our hearts, reminding us of the strength and love she instilled in all of us.
