Corinne (Pat) Harris Armatta passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026 in Keller, Texas, at age 97. She was born to Richard Higgins and Pauline (Wilson) Harris in Fort Worth, Texas, but grew up in Waco, Texas. She worked as a telephone operator, and attended Baylor University before switching to North Texas State University. There she met and married Lawrence “Duke” Armatta.
They raised three daughters in Houston, Texas, where Duke owned an oilfield supply business, and Pat was a homemaker. She was a dedicated, lifelong Christian Scientist, and a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Irving, Texas.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents, her stepmother, and her brother, Richard Howard Harris.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Robert) Carr, Susan Grendel, Laurie (Joey) Milner, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held at Lucas Funeral Home at 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine, Texas, on Monday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 a.m.
Refreshments and reminiscing will follow at the Milners’ home, 651 E. Highland St., Southlake, Texas 76092. She will be buried the following day at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas.
