CJ Sharp

CJ Sharp, age 60, passed away suddenly on August 23, 2026, following complications from a recent diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He was born on December 8, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended school in Keller, Texas.

CJ was a hardworking and adventurous man who pursued many interests throughout his life. He became an auctioneer, earned his real estate license, managed rental properties, and built a successful career as a professional truck driver. He took great pride in his work, and his dedication to safety and professionalism earned him the Hazmat Safe Driver Award for multiple consecutive years. His accomplishments eventually led him to become a driver instructor.

In 1999, CJ met the love of his life, Tammy Bryan. Together, they moved to Florida to begin their life and family. They enjoyed cruises, traveling, and spending time together. In 2012, CJ tragically lost Tammy in a car accident, but the love they shared remained an important part of his life.

Above all, CJ was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. His son, Dylan, was truly the joy of his life, and the bond they shared was incredibly special. CJ treasured the time they spent together and the many memories they created.

CJ’s love of driving extended far beyond his career. He loved the freedom of the open road, traveling across the country, discovering new places, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. He also had a great passion for his Harleys, enjoying motorcycle rides and proudly taking his motorcycles to car and motorcycle shows. Whether he was behind the wheel of a truck, riding his Harley, enjoying a beautiful view, or spending time with family and friends, CJ embraced life and appreciated the journey.

CJ was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tammy Bryan-Sharp; his parents, Clyde Sharpless and Mary Sharpless; and his grandparents, Bill and Ruth Sharpless and Al and Thelma Crosby.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved son, Dylan Sharp; his sisters, Janice Shelton and Lana Sharpless; his nephews, Terry “TJ” Shelton and Jason Reaves; along with numerous cousins, friends, and loved ones.

CJ will be remembered for his warm smile, his stories, his adventurous spirit, and his love of trucks, Harleys, traveling, and the outdoors. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the countless memories he created with those who meant the most to him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main St., Keller, Texas 76248. A reception will follow the service, providing family and friends an opportunity to gather, share memories and stories, and celebrate CJ’s life.
