Christopher Thomas Swanson, age 54, of North Richland Hills, TX died July 27, 2025 at his home.
Christopher (Chip) was born March 9, 1971 in Arlington Heights, IL to parents Thomas and Sharon Swanson.
Chip attended Grapevine High School and a Technical Trade School. He worked in the Automotive Repair and Painting trade in the DFW area.
His artistic talent and passion were expressed through his creative custom painting designs and the skilled painting of autos, trucks and motorcycles. Chip was also in demand for restoring and customizing vehicles, his most recent being his prized electric blue1969 Chevrolet C10.
Chip’s unique paint schemes also included custom refrigerator graphics and even his brother’s classic 1966 Fender Guitar.
His love of music was contagious and often showcased through his custom woofers or newest sound system. Comedy was a staple around Chip, his friends and family. If he wasn’t going to or talking about a comedy show, he was planning his next trip to Las Vegas or his favorite restaurant, Benihana’s.
Survived by his daughter Alexis Stark of Spokane, WA, parents Thomas Swanson of North Richland Hills and Sharon Steele of Grapevine. Two brothers, Michael Meucci of Middleton, ID and Mark Meucci of Streamwood, IL.
Memorial services will be held September 20, 2 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine, TX 76051
Chip bravely managed diabetes and all the challenges it presented to him from age 16 to his death. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in his honor to Breakthrough T1D (formerly known as JDRF).
