Fort Worth

Christopher Marshall Harrell was born on August 26, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas, to Charles and Carol Harrell. A lifelong Texan at heart, Christopher grew up grounded in faith, family, and a strong sense of responsibility that shaped every season of his life.

He attended James Madison High School, graduating with the Class of 1990. Christopher went on to pursue higher education at Texas Tech University and the University of Texas at San Antonio before earning his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Known for his intelligence, precision, and tireless work ethic, he approached his profession with care, integrity, and an eye for detail that earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He was generous with his time and wisdom, always ready with thoughtful advice or a helping hand.

Though often quiet in the company of others, Christopher was full of laughter and warmth with his family. Family and faith were the cornerstones of his life. He cherished time spent together and made it a priority to take his family on trips to San Antonio to visit relatives, creating memories rooted in love and connection.

Christopher was an Eagle Scout, an achievement that reflected his discipline, leadership, and commitment to service. Later in life, he proudly gave back to Scouting as a leader alongside his son, Ben, guiding him through scouting through high adventure scouting trips like Sea Base and Whinahpay Mountain Camp.. He and Ben shared many adventures together, traveling and strengthening a bond built on mutual respect and shared experiences. Christopher went on a Church Mission trip with daughter Rachel , was on the finance committee, the church lawn crew and volunteered teaching Sunday School throughout his 20 years as a member of Alliance Methodist.

He had a deep love for music—especially the work of Warren Zevon, The Beatles, and folk music—as well as a passion for climbing, the outdoors, and travel. Most recently, he fulfilled a dream of visiting Italy with his beautiful bride to celebrate 25 years of marriage.

Christopher is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl Harrell; his children, Ben and Rachel Harrell; his parents, Charles and Carol Harrell; his younger brother, Justin Harrell, whom Christopher inspired greatly while growing up; Justin’s wife, Tracy; and his beloved niece, Aubrey. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
