Cassandra "Sandy" Landry was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loved ones on November 3, 2025, in Fort Worth, TX. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for well over a decade.
Sandy was born on July 10, 1953, to Barbara Martin and the late George Martin at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, TX. She grew up in Oak Cliff, a neighborhood in Dallas, and graduated from Kimball High School in 1971. She later attended the University of North Texas, where she met her life-long partner, Lonny. She was married to him for nearly 53 years.
She earned a bachelor's degree in business and a master's degree in business education. Sandy dedicated 37 years to serving the community and students at Keller High School before retiring in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Martin.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Lonny Landry; her mother, Barbara Martin; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Janet Martin; son, Lance Landry and his fiance, Stephanie, and her son, Eli; son and daughter-in-law, Lonny and Crystal Landry; grandchildren, Kaelyn, Korbyn, Koltyn, and Karson Landry; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Landry; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Elizabeth, Emily, Caleb, and Kelvin; and many cousins.
Her legacy as a loving, fun, entertaining, adventurous, and go-getter spirit will live on through her family and everyone she crossed paths with. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, Sandy was always ready for the next adventure in life. She loved the mountains of Colorado and the vibrant coastal waters, appreciating their lively beauty. She never missed an event or activity for her children or grandchildren, attending everything from basketball and football to soccer and cheerleading.
Her family will serve as pallbearers.
Sandy loved her family and friends dearly and would have traveled to the ends of the earth for them. We love you and look forward to seeing you again one day.
