Cary Andrew Mitchell, born on May 8, 1952 in Warren, Ohio, to Tom and Jean Mitchell, departed this life on March 27, 2026 leaving a legacy of devotion, integrity, and kindness. Cary was raised alongside three siblings: his late older brother, Tommy; his twin sister, Carol, who resides in Oklahoma; and his younger sister Joanne, who resides in Georgia.
Cary met and wed Ann Lavin of Winchester, Virginia. Together, they established a nurturing home in Winchester. Cary wholeheartedly welcomed Ann’s three children—Keith Lavin, Kellie Honeycutt, and Kimberly Fedei—regarding them as his own and imparting his unwavering support and guidance.
A graduate of James Madison University, Cary earned a degree in Accounting. He achieved distinction as a Certified Public Accountant and dedicated most of his professional career to internal auditing within the manufacturing industry. His steadfast commitment to excellence and ethical conduct was reflected in all his endeavors. In their later years together, Cary and Ann settled in Bedford, Texas, cherishing the proximity to family as they concluded their respective careers—Cary as a CPA and Ann as a registered nurse.
Cary possessed an abiding affection for animals, never missing an opportunity to adopt and care for new companions. His compassion extended to all living creatures, exemplifying a gentle spirit and generous heart. He will be remembered for his strategic procurement skills, dedication to family, and generosity. Cary leaves behind cherished memories and a loving family who mourn his passing and celebrate his life.
