On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Carol Jean Wilson passed in her Southlake, Texas home at age 68.
Carol was born in Providence, Rhode Island on October 12, 1956, to Barbara (Sears) Berge and Philip Berge. She has four siblings: Diane Berge, married to Michael Manos, mother of Grace Mendoza, and grandmother of Olivia Mendoza; Kenneth Berge; Edward Berge, married to Mel Berge and father of Greg Berge; and Michael Berge, partner of Angela.
After meeting as teenagers at the local McDonald’s, she went on to marry Samuel Joseph Wilson from September 2, 1978, to October 8, 2019 (his passing).
She attended Woodlawn High School and graduated from Towson State University with a double degree in Education and Kineseology. During this time, she participated in sports, such as softball, field hockey, and basketball. During the summers she played on USA teams.
Sam and Carol had two children together, Adam Philip Roy Wilson and Samantha Jean Wilson. During this time, she was very active in her children’s lives and schooling. Carol would often be found participating in school events, volunteering, or coaching students.
Carol also dedicated over 40 years to working at the Social Security Administration, having just retired in January of this year. She was very proud of the people she was able to help in their times of crisis, knowing she was able to make a difference and support others.
Carol was dedicated, kind hearted, generous, and loved. She will be missed greatly.
