Brian Lee Vannoy

Brian Lee Vannoy, beloved father, brother, son, and wonderful friend to many, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. Brian was known for his for his quick witted sarcasm that would always bring laughter to the room, steady kindness, and the profound joy he found in being a father to Britton Lee Vannoy. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and treasured the fellowship of his church The Hills — at North Richland Hills, TX. Brian deeply cherished his time with his son, whom he raised with patience, pride, and a playful sense of adventure. He was truly a wonderful father that focused on leading Britton to the Lord. He knew that would be his greatest accomplishment in life, and on August3, 2013, Brian baptized his son Britton, and shared that it was “the proudest moment of his life. ”Brian Lee Vannoy, 54 years old, Roanoke, TX and Collinsville, TX was born on December 2, 1971, to Tommy and Martha Vannoy in Irving, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Tommy, Uncle Dickie, Grandmothers, Mamie Worthington and Leta Vannoy, and Grandfathers, Ivan Vannoy and Ollie Wright. A great reunion with our Lord and Savior, and this family was made on this day. Brian is survived by his son, Britton Vannoy, Brother, Michael Vannoy, and mother, Martha Vannoy. From a young age, Brian was introduced to a passion for animals, which included horses and horse racing. It was a passion introduced by his own father, whom he unfortunately lost at a young age. He carried that passion with him, and horse racing was a hobby that his family and friends continued to enjoy together. Brian trained race horses in Ruidoso, NM, and participated in horse racing photography at the 2000 Kentucky Derby. Aside from being such a wonderful father, Brian’s involvement in horse racing in his younger years was a unique, exciting, and special time in his life. Brian worked at vet clinic at a young age, inspiring him to study animal science and graduated at Oklahoma State University. He went on to work for Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper as an Account Sales Rep, and most recently was working for Texas Health HEB. Although we can all agree Brian’s passing came too soon, he lived an intentional, and meaningful life. He was a strong Christian who structured his life according to the Bible. It’s truly admirable, and we can all learn from his legacy. Brian often reminded Britton that they were “Best Buddies,” just like Todd and Copper from the movie The Fox and the Hound, which he watched often with Britton when he was little. He would wrestle with Britton while saying it to make him and others laugh — and to remind Britton that he would always be there for him. He was, and always will be, Britton’s “Best Buddy.” And now he can be remembered as our “Best Buddy,” too.In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to The Hills Church you ministry.
