Breann Michelle Hargis

Breann Michelle Hargis passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at her home in Grapevine, TX supported by a circle of family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, Mark and Deanna (Ball) Hargis, her brother Keith andbeloved cat, Pepperoni. She also leaves behind an extended family including maternal grandmother, Connie Ball (Paris, TX), aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Dean Ball, and paternal grandparents Bill and Alta Hargis.

Breann held several positions in her young life, but her favorite was as a certified pharmacy technician. She loved her co-workers and especially enjoyed helping patients and learning about them as individuals.

Breann lived a vibrant, active life until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. Shefought courageously for over nine years battling one complication after another. She remained hopeful throughout her trials with a smile on her face.

Her favorite pastimes were reading, baking for others (she baked her last dessert – a decadent tres leches cake just days before her passing), embroidery, working puzzles, putting together large Lego structures, spending time with friends and family, and going on vacations (Mount Magazine in Arkansas was a favorite!) Breann also found great joy as a loving cat and plant mom naming all of her plants and placing sticks with their names in their pots.

Through books Breann learned about how other people faced different struggles in life. People are like a quilt…one side might be messy but the other side, with different shapes and colors, is beautiful when all are joined together. Breann spent her life appreciating the differences in people and loved them no matter who they were or where they were on their journey. Breann was known for never judging others.

Breann will be greatly missed, and her bright smile will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
