Bobby Allen Ward

May 23, 1946 — January 13, 2026

North Richland Hills

Bobby Allen Ward, 79, passed peacefully from this life on January 13, 2026, at his son’s home, surrounded by family. He was born on May 23, 1946, in Colorado City, Texas, to Robert and Odillia Price Ward, the second oldest of four children.

Bobby came from a close-knit family, and from a young age he understood the importance of responsibility. As a teenager, he stepped into the workforce to help support his family, beginning a lifelong pattern of putting others first and meeting life head-on with determination and resolve.

Bobby married Diana Simmons on January 11, 1965. Their marriage spanned 38 years, marked by devotion, perseverance, and deep love, until Diana’s passing on March 3, 2003. Together, they adopted their son James Heath Ward, and later, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Moranda Irene Ward.

For more than forty years, Bobby worked for Mica Corporation as a certified welder and foreman, helping install highway and road signage throughout the region. He took pride in his craft, his leadership, and the value of honest, dependable work. After decades of service, he retired from Mica, leaving behind a reputation as a skilled tradesman and a man who could always be counted on.

Outside of work, Bobby found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like time spent with family, riding motorcycles, and fishing. He was steady in character, loyal, and deeply devoted to those he loved.

Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife, Diana Ward; his parents, Robert and Odillia Ward; his older sister, Linda Sutton Ward; and his younger brother, Jimmy Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ward. He is also survived by his son, James Heath Ward, his wife Linda, and their daughter Sara; and by his daughter, Moranda (Mandy) Morley, her husband Jerry, and their children Sabrina, Justin, and Jerry Jr. He is further survived by Jerry Jr.’s wife, Cassy, and by his cherished great-granddaughters Madison, Abigail, and Bailey Morley.

Bobby is also survived by his brother, Ronny Lee Ward.

His stepchildren include Joshua White, his fiancée Kristi Heath, and their children Jenna, Bailee, and Nikki; and Robert White, his wife Skylar, and their children Courtney, Conner, Calie, Carsen, and Charleigh. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him with love.

Bobby Allen Ward will be remembered as a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with quiet integrity. He was someone who did what needed to be done and stood firmly with the people who mattered most to him.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
