Bobbie Huff-Richhart of Arlington, Texas went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 7th at the age of 91. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Memaw, Mimi, and a cherished friend to all that knew and loved her.
Born on April 20, 1934, in Fort Worth, Texas to Herbert and Cynthia Eddleman. Bobbie lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and service. She exemplified love, strength, and grace in everything she did.
Bobbie and Louie’s story began at church, when Louie’s mother insisted that he “come see the pretty girl who plays the organ”, that’s when a life-long love story began. In 1951, Bobbie married the love of her life, Louie Huff. The couple spent the first three years of their marriage in London, England, while Louie served in the U.S. Air Force. It was there, in 1953, that they welcomed their first child, Louie Jr., over the next ten years they completed their family with Kimberly, Jennifer, and Robert.
Bobbie embraced her calling as a wife and mother with joyous devotion. Her faith anchored her home, and every Sunday the family was faithfully in church together. Bobbie also served 16 years on the PTA board, was a homeroom mother to all four of her children and drove them to and from school each day—sometimes with all four in different campuses. She prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, tending to her home with devotion, gratitude and love.
Kim and Jennifer treasure the memory of their morning “coffee time” with mom. After their dad left for work, the girls would bring their baby dolls into the kitchen, where Bobbie filled their tiny cups with chocolate milk and one precious drop of coffee.
After Louie’s retirement, Bobbie and Louie continued their adventures together, traveling with friends to Hawaii, taking a six-week road trip to Alaska, and enjoying many memorable cruises with dear friends.
Bobbie and Louie shared 57 beautiful years of marriage until Louie’s passing in 2008.
In 2010 Bobbie was “doubly blessed as Jim would say” when she married Jim Richhart. They enjoyed 11 wonderful years together, filled with travels across Europe and creating countless warm, joyful memories until Jim’s passing in 2021. Bobbie embraced and loved her two “bonus” sons, Michael and Cliff with the same love she shared with all her family.
Bobbie’s life was rich in experiences and relationships. She traveled the world, but her greatest joy was being surrounded by her beloved family-her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Bobbie is survived by her children:
