In Loving Memory of Hughie James Clifton III

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hughie James Clifton III, fondly known as "Bo," on January 27, 2024, at the age of 41. Bo, a resident of Burleson, Texas, formerly of Arlington, Texas, passed away unexpectedly in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born on November 19, 1982, in Arlington, Bo was the beloved son of Hughie Clifton Jr. and Kathryn Ann Clifton. Known as a spirited and adventurous soul, Bo graduated from Martin High School in Arlington, where he excelled as a football player for the Martin Warriors. After completing his education, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the Navy in 2002. Bo proudly served his nation until his honorable discharge in 2010.

Bo had a zest for life that was contagious. His love for dogs and animals was evident, and he could often be found in the company of his beloved furry companions. He had a deep passion for fast cars, especially his cherished hot rods, and he enjoyed spending time with friends who shared his enthusiasm. Bo had a love for the great outdoors and cherished moments spent on the slopes snow skiing or gliding across the waters while water skiing.

Bo is survived by his grieving father, Hughie Clifton Jr. (Bubba) of Burleson, and his mother, Kathryn Ann Clifton of Arlington. He leaves behind his caring sister, Kelsey Jo Clifton of Crowley, as well as his devoted stepmother, Carolyn Sue Clifton, his dear grandmother, Carolyn Marie Clifton, and his aunt and uncle, Christi and Pete McClain. Bo was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Hughie J. Clifton Sr., and his grandparents, Bob and Barbara Deavers.

While we mourn the loss of Bo, we find solace in the memories we shared with him. To honor his life, a service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home - Burleson. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate his legacy, share stories, and find comfort in one another's company during this difficult time. Bo’s final resting place will be at Burleson Memorial Cemetery. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the ASPCA in honor of Bo's unwavering love for animals.

Hughie James Clifton III will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May we find solace in the memories we have been blessed to share with him, and may his spirit continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest.
