Blair Yang-Ly

Blair Yang-Ly was born in Laos on August 24, 1969, as the sixth child to Vang Yang and Thia Vang.

In 1978, Blair and her family immigrated to the United States. She went on to graduate from Kearny High School in 1988, and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Office Information Systems from San Diego Mesa College in 1993.

Blair married Chong Ly in 1994, and together they built a loving family. She was a devoted mother to four children—Shannan, Bryant, Anjali, and Andrew— and later on, a proud grandmother to her beloved grandchild, Ivy.

Growing up, Blair had a variety of interests, including making photo books, sewing, and applying makeup. In the summer, she enjoyed visiting movie theaters and the beach. She loved cooking, doing hair, watching Asian dramas, and listening to podcasts when she was with her family.

Blair will always be remembered as the most proud grandmother, a cherished sister, and an amazing mother.
