Billy James Moody Jr., age 77, passed away on July 2, 2026, in Grapevine, Texas.

He was born in Houston, Texas on September 14, 1948. Billy grew up a longtime resident of Houston, Texas and graduated from MacArthur High School. He played football, was a high-school trainer for the football team, and volunteered as a firefighter.

Bill joined the Marines Corp in May of 1969, and served through April 1973. Also, serving during and in the Vietnam War. He achieved the rank of Corporal while serving in the Marine Corps, and receiving his Honorable discharge.

Bill also enjoyed hunting on the deer lease, fishing, deep sea fishing, and boating. He was an 18-wheel truck driver for many years, driving far and wide throughout the U.S. Bill knew the state of Texas like the back of his hand, every highway, road, or dirt road. He would always find his way.

Bill loved ALL his kids, whether they're from Houston or Fort Worth. He is survived by his wife, Angelita Perez Moody. He was a loving father to his sons and daughters. Racquel Zoller and her family, Natalie Perez and her family, Frank Perez and his family, Christine Rivera and her family, Michelle Moody, Chris Moody, and his son Ryan Moody their families.

Billy James Moody Jr. was born to his parents, Billy James Moody Sr. and Birdie Joyce Moody, who have now proceeded with the Lord. His surviving siblings include Theresa and her husband Joe, Debbie and her husband Johnny, Brenda Moody, and half sister Joanne Nagel. Bill also had a brother Jerry, and a half brother Tom, who have since gone to be with the lord.

Billy James Moody Jr. was Blessed with large wonderful family that includes 22 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Bill was also a loving Uncle to all his nephews and nieces and had many friends and families that loved him dearly.

Bill's legacy will live on through all the lives he has touched in both family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, who will forever cherish the memories they created together.
