Coppell, Texas

Beverly Ann Eyberg, age 88, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Carrollton, Texas.

“The music hasn’t ended; the key has changed. Beverly’s life was a beautiful composition of faith, family, and music. Though her hands are now at rest, her melody lives on in the hearts of those she taught, those she loved, and all who were blessed to hear her play.”

Born on September 14, 1937, in Greenfield, Iowa, Beverly was the daughter of Fidelia (Lickteig) Owens and William Owens. She grew up in the Midwest and, throughout her life, lived in Kansas City, Arizona, and Texas before ultimately settling in Coppell, Texas.

Beverly was a dedicated and accomplished musician, holding a master’s degree in Music from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. A gifted pianist, she shared her passion for music through both performance and teaching, leaving a lasting impression on her students and all who had the pleasure of hearing her play. Beyond her music, she was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places.

She was united in marriage to Dean Eyberg, her beloved husband of 39 years, who preceded her in death in 2005. They shared a rich and fulfilling life together, including a love of travel and a deep commitment to their faith and community. Beverly was an active and devoted member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell, Texas.

While her roots were in Iowa and Nebraska, Beverly proudly considered herself a Texan at heart, cherishing the community and life they built there.

A funeral service will be held on May 27th at Gude Mortuary Chapel in Nebraska City at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Beverly will be remembered for her grace, talent, devotion, and the quiet impact she made through her music and faith.
