Beryl Ann Turner

Beryl Ann Turner passed away in August 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was 84 years old. Beryl Ann was born on November 13, 1941, in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in the Fort Worth area where she graduated from North Side High School where she was an excellent student and a cheerleader. Her high school achievements qualified her for admission to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. Beryl Ann then finished her education journey at North Texas State University where she earned her master's degree in education.

Beryl Ann dedicated many years of her life to teaching. She had a love for traveling and was fortunate to visit every continent across the globe. In her later years, she enjoyed gardening and tinkered outside in her flower beds almost every day.

Beryl Ann Turner is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Hubert and Vela Merle Tolbert; her brother, James Frank “Jimmy” Tolbert; and her sister-in-law, Ann Tolbert.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Turner of Dallas and Lauren (Teghen) Mullen of New Braunfels; her grandchildren Catherine DeFord, Everett Mullen, Remy Mullen, Reese Mullen; her niece Ashley (John) Colvin; her great-niece Sydni Colvin; and her great-nephew, Quintin Colvin.

The funeral arrangements are pending at this time.

The family requests that those who wish to honor Beryl Ann send memorial gifts to the Gary Starnes Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers.
