Benton Alexander Coursey, age 25, of Keller, passed away on October 11, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on July 10, 2000, to Larry and Judith Coursey in Arlington, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, with burial to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Benton was full of life—thoughtful, grounded, and steady-natured, yet quick to open up with warmth and humor once you knew him. He was an avid gamer who cherished time spent with his friends and family. A proud graduate of Keller High School, Benton went on to attend Texas Tech University. He later earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. He was dedicated to his work and was employed at the Medical Center of Arlington, where he cared deeply for his patients and colleagues.
Benton is lovingly remembered by his parents, Larry and Judith Coursey; his siblings, Blake Coursey, Shonita Ingram and husband Chad, Dominique Lucero and wife Esmi, Leticia Duarte Coursey, Andre Coursey and wife Maru, Laura Cope and husband Zachary Austin, and James Cope and wife Adrian; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis Graves, Marie Milton, and Joseph and Phyllis Lezniak.
Benton’s kind heart, quiet strength, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
