Barbara Allison Hodge

Barbara Hodge, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved her. She was born on March 22, 1966 in Delhi, Louisiana to Edward and Sylvia Ghrigsby. Barbara was very proud of her 42 years of marriage to Tony Hodge. She loved her children, grand-children, family and cooking for her family and friends, her hobbies included cross stitching, fishing, photography, making memories, and having fun. Her many years working in accounting for the Texas Rangers ballpark in Arlington was often a subject of accomplishment she was proud of. She graduated high school in Tallulah, Louisiana and received a degree in accounting at TCJC. Barbara is survived by her husband Tony Hodge of Fort Worth, Texas, her son Michael Hodge and life partner Andrea Kirbie of Greenville, Texas, daughter Cassie Poston and husband Brad Poston of Roanoke Texas, grandson's Trevor Poston of Euless, TX, Tony Poston of Roanoke, Tx. and Mason Kirbie of Greenville Tx. Her sisters Katherine Rundell of Tallulah, Louisiana, Beverly Humphreys and husband Paul of Meridian, Tx, Liz Ferguson and husband David of Mountain View, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her mother Sylvia Ghrigsby, her brother Thomas Ghrigsby, and Father Edward Ghrigsby. Her paternal grandparents Turner and Loraine Ghrigsby and maternal grandparents Burt and Malina Rabalais.

The visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 27, 2026 and funeral services will follow at Lucas funeral home located at 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, Tx 76053. Interment will follow in Smithfield cemetery in North Richland Hills.
