With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anne Marie Gulley Ugalde, who departed this life on July 27, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 69.
Born on October 4, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, Anne was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend whose life was defined by her care for others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), she found purpose in helping, nurturing, and supporting those in need. Her calling didn’t end at work; Anne poured that same compassion into her home, devoting most of her life to raising and caring for her children and those who entered her life along the way.
Anne is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bob Gulley and Margaret Lemin Gulley; her sister, Teresa Young; and her brothers, Robert and Greg Gulley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bernardo Ledesma Ugalde Jr.; her six children—one of whom is adopted—Nardo and his wife Belen Ugalde, Elysha Ugalde, Anthony Ugalde, Alex and his wife Nichole Slaikeu Ugalde, Joe and his wife A'Lisha Prince Ugalde, and Robert and his wife Melissa Silva. Anne was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Dito, Zekyla, Sadey, Sophia, Jude, Kadence, Korben, Penny, and Leah. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her deeply.
Anne is also survived by her sisters: Pat Campbell, Judy St. Julian, and Verna Davis.
Known for her generosity, Anne often shopped on Amazon and Temu—not for herself, but for others. She had a deep love for Mexican food and was famous for her signature holiday dishes, including green bean casserole, stuffing, deviled eggs, and jello salad. Always one to embrace the festive spirit, she loved decorating for every occasion. Anne found joy in watching football, especially her Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed shows like 90 Day Fiancé, Dr. Pol, MasterChef, The Pioneer Woman, and The Kitchen.
Her faith was unwavering, her heart was wide open, and her spirit radiated warmth. To many, she was a second mother, welcoming her children’s friends into her home and helping to nurture and care for them without hesitation. She was the kind of person who always showed up—with food, love, and whatever you needed.
Anne's legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unconditional love. Her presence lit up the lives of all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.
