Anne Ramsey Luedemann, age 85, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully just days after her beloved husband, Ron, closing a beautiful chapter of a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Born on August 22, 1940, in Yakima, Washington, Anne was the daughter of Charles and Eunice Ramsey. She grew up in Grandview, WA, attending Grandview Public Schools, and later pursued her passion for helping others by earning her degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. She began her professional life with a career in occupational therapy, which she later set aside to devote herself fully to raising her family.
Anne married Ron Luedemann on January 27, 1967, beginning a 58-year journey filled with love, faith, and shared adventures. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and community.
Anne was known for her creative and strategic mind, and for being engaging, hospitable, welcoming, and accepting of everyone she met. Her sharp wit and sassy sense of humor were matched by her deep kindness and generosity of spirit. She loved playing cards, dancing, reading, and singing in choirs. Anne had a passion for genealogy and could often be found working on word search puzzles.
She also played an instrumental role in helping churches build and develop small group ministry programs during the early days of the movement—drawing on her gifts for connection and leadership to foster deeper relationships and spiritual growth within church communities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers John and Denny Ramsey, and her dear husband Ron Luedemann.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Bart Luedemann and his wife Sheri, and their children Corey, Joci, and Callie; Pete Luedemann and his wife Melissa, and their children Brittany, Becca, Emma, and Erin. She is also survived by her brother Henry Ramsey, and many other relatives and friends who cherished her warmth and wisdom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Colleyville, Texas, or Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West, Arizona.
Anne's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
