Anna Nohavitza, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 1, 2025. Anna will always be remembered as a loving parent and a caring friend to all that knew her. She was born on November 19, 1937 in Greenville, Texas, to Claud and Beatrice Green.
As a teacher, Anna devoted most of her life to the enrichment of young people, a passion that often extended into her service to the church and to God. Some of Anna’s most treasured memories were of mission trips where she and her husband Elo would witness to others around the world. Anna and Elo were known in their community and in their church as kind, compassionate, good people, who changed many lives for the better and brought opportunities to those in need.
Anna is survived by her son, Raun Nohavitza of San Jose, California. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Elo Nohavitza.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 8 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas, with a memorial service following at the same location at 2:00 PM in the chapel, led by pastors from First Baptist Church of Hurst. She will be later inurned in the Dallas Fort Worth Cemetary next to her late husband.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Hurst Missions Fund or to a similar organization of choice.
