Anita “Joyce” Moore went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2025 she was 86 years old.
Joyce was born in Lockhart Texas to Vernon and Lorilla Woods. Following graduation from high school she moved to Austin and attended Nixon Clay Commercial College while working at the Texas Highway department. After marrying she and her husband moved to Fort Worth where she spent (and enjoyed) countless volunteering opportunities and served on the Miss Texas Pageants, Vise Chairman of the United Way fund -Metropolitan, CPA wives and the Junior woman’s club of Fort Worth.
Years later, she found her calling selling real estate while quickly and consistently becoming the number one listing agent and producer year after year. She had a knack with people and her personality was infectious.
In the late 80s she met and married her husband George and they settled in Colleyville where they enjoyed traveling, eating out and time with friends and family. In 2016 they moved to Fredericksburg Texas full-time and enjoyed the slower pace and Hill country atmosphere. The loved taking frequent long drives in the country and never missed out on trying little “hole in the wall” eating establishments. They were faithful members of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and truly had a love for the congregation and the wonderful friends and neighbors there.
After the death of her husband, Joyce moved back to the mid cities in 2024 to be near family. She loved playing bridge, watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. She so loved her sports!
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Vernon and Lorilla Woods, and husband George Moore.
She is survived by two daughters. Shelly Sartin and husband Bill, grandson Camron Sartin and his wife Alexis. Cheri Graham and her husband Bill and granddaughter daughter Alexandra Graham, Brother Gary Woods, and other family members.
