Anita Evans passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held at The Alley House in Graham, Texas on Saturday, November 8, 2025, between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Anita was born in Graham, Texas on March 18, 1962, to the late Juanita Hipp Evans and Carl Norman Evans. Anita grew up in Graham and graduated from Graham High School in 1980.
Anita was a free spirit and a fiercely independent woman! She could drive anything— a Harley-Davidson, an RV, a tractor, or a mule. She would haul her Airstream behind her truck to Colorado and beyond. Anita loved to travel, and she was a gifted photographer. She never met a stranger, and she always had a humorous story to tell and laughter to share.
Anita raised her son, Michael, at the Rim Rock Ranch outside of Graham, where she lived some of her happiest days. While there, she also raised an organic vegetable garden, chickens, dogs and cats, and Mr. Longhorn. There were many memorable moments shared at the RRR, including weddings, birthdays, holidays, reunions, and celebrations of all kinds.
Anita is survived by her son, Michael Stivers, her stepmother, Janice Evans, and Charlie, her Boston Terrier.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Karen Robertson and Cynthia Morrison, brother, Brandon Evans, and Michael’s father, Danny Stivers.
We are extremely grateful to everyone at Community Healthcare of Texas and the Hospice House at Huguley for their generosity, kindness, and compassionate care.
