Anise Hayes was the special type of person that filled a room… filled it with her Light, her Energy, her Warmth and Will, her smile. Her quiet confidence in this life derived from her certainty that the universe is full of Angels, watching over her and all of us – her loved ones. Born and raised in Iran, she courageously left her home at age 19 to start a new life attending college in Kentucky, and eventually earning her Master’s Degree in Psychology.
Anise had many roles in her lifetime - and meant different things to all of us: Daughter, Sister, Mother, Friend, Aunt, Grandmother. She was a fierce protector and cared deeply, and often put her family and friends first, not as a sacrifice but as a calling. Anise was strong-willed, sometimes stubborn, was deeply spiritual – and generous beyond measure. "Nanny," as her two grandchildren affectionately named her, was an ever-present figure in their young lives, loving them with the joy of someone who understood how precious those moments are. All these roles she fulfilled culminated in a truly beautiful, and meaningful life. Those who knew her are better people, and are more fully loved, for having known Anise. She truly made a difference in all of us, and that part of her will live on.
Anise always believed, unwaveringly, that everything would somehow be okay - that everything is as it should be. May her energy find its way back to everyone who needs it, and may we feel her presence in all the ways she said we would. She is survived by her mother, three sisters, brother, daughter, and two grandchildren, and many dear friends and family near and far who carry her light with them.
