Angel Luis Rivera, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. Angel was born on January 14, 1956, in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, to Maria Matilde and Pedro Tomas Rivera. Growing up as the middle son alongside his brothers, Pedro and Ramon, he learned early on the value of a tight-knit family. Angel later built a beautiful life of his own with his beloved wife, Irma. He was a loving father to his son, Diego, and his daughters, Samarie and Janette.
Angel found his greatest happiness in life’s simple, beautiful moments. He was truly content at home in Texas, standing over the grill cooking up a meal for everyone he loved, enveloped by the laughter of family and friends. Including the beautiful family that he became a part of when he married his wife, Irma. Her large family became his and it forever changed him for the better. An avid sports fan, he passionately cheered for the Houston Texans, but nothing compared to the pride and joy he felt watching his son, Diego, play baseball. Angel's world was entirely complete whenever he had his love, Irma, and his children by his side.
Angel entered into eternity to be reunited with his parents, Maria Matilde and Pedro Tomas Rivera, as well as his sweet infant sons, Angel Jr. and Tomas.
His legacy of love lives on through his devoted wife, Irma Rivera; his son, Diego Rivera; and his daughters, Samarie and Janette. He is also survived by his brothers, Pedro and Ramon, and his sisters-in-law, Jenny and Wilma, all of whom he loved dearly; they were always present and a truly great part of his life. Angel is fondly remembered by his beloved nieces and nephews, Lizzandra, Katherine, Nina, Stephanie, Pedrito, Joann, and Ramoncito, along with a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who will deeply miss his warmth and his joyful spirit.
