Ana Magdalena Alamilla, age 92, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026.
Ana was born on April 5, 1934, in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. With courage and determination, she left her homeland and came to the United States to build a better future for her family. Starting with very little, Ana worked tirelessly and persevered through many challenges, guided by her resilience, faith, and strong work ethic.
Through her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, Ana went on to build a successful Mexican food business, creating not just a livelihood but a lasting legacy. Her work grew into a thriving enterprise that reflected her passion, culture, and commitment to excellence. What began as humble beginnings became a testament to her strength and vision-truly a Mexican food empire that supported her family and brought joy to many.
Ana was also a gifted artist who loved all forms of craftwork, including sewing, needlepoint, and painting. She further developed her talents by earning a Certificate in Pattern Making and Draping from the Mayer School of Fashion Design in New York City.
Ana was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jorge W. Alamilla. She is lovingly survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of hard work, creativity, and love.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller.
Ana's life story is one of perseverance, sacrifice, and extraordinary achievement. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
