Amanda Lynn (Adams) Hunt, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 2, 2024, from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. She was born on February 22, 1967, in Dallas, TX. Amanda was a devoted wife to her husband, Michael, and a loving mother to her twin children, Harlow and Harrison.
Amanda is preceded in death by her parents, George Jewett Adams, Jr. and Faith Ann (McMillan) Adams, as well as her grandparents, George and Lillie Marie Adams, and James Cleole and Myrtle (Monroe) McMillan, and aunts, Barbara (Adams) Matthews and Joan (Adams) Hartley.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Hunt; children, Harlow and Harrison Hunt; sisters: Karen (Adams) and Francis Selwyn Gay; Robin (Adams) and Guy Evans; loving in-laws: Sue and Amy Hunt; Mickey Hunt and Judy Sander; Jennifer and Eric Becker; nieces and nephews: Helena Gay, Brewer and Elle Marie Becker, Shelby and Hollis Evans, and numerous cherished cousins and many friends in Haslet, Grand Prairie, and the greater DFW Metroplex.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Keller Lucas Funeral Home.
The Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, at Keller United Methodist Church, with a light reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Camp Sweeney, a nonprofit organization that provides traditional summer camp experiences for Type 1 Diabetes kids in the DFW Metroplex. Their mission is to build a family that can help support campers through all the highs and lows of Type 1 Diabetes.
Rest in peace, dear Amanda. You will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
