A.M. "Mark" Tate III

Arvel Mitchell Tate III, nicknamed Mark at birth, was born Dec. 19th, 1958 in Fort Worth Texas. He was the first born son of Arvel Mitchell Tate Jr. and Rose Elaine Tate. He is survived by his father Arvel Mitchel Tate Jr., and his mother Elaine of Rhome, Texas. He is also survived by two brothers, Aaron Matthew Tate and his wife Amy of Ft. Worth, and David Randall Tate of Athens, Texas. He was Uncle to David and Annabel Tate of Haltom City, Summer Belle Tate of Miami, FL, and Benjamin Estill and Aaron Mitchell Tate of Ft. Worth, Texas. He was also Great Uncle to Bodie James and Briar Rose Tate of Haltom City, Texas.

Mark graduated from Grapevine High School in 1977. Six months later he joined the US Navy. He attended Basic Training in Orlando, FL, and afterwards he was attached to the Kitty-Hawk class aircraft carrier - USS Constellation where he served four years as an aircraft electrician. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he came home to Colleyville. He worked several different jobs until he went to work for American Airlines where he worked mainly in environmentals, ground support, and facilities maintenance. He retired after 30 yrs. Mark was devoted to his family, and loved for his kindness, thoughtfulness and genuine concern for others. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being on the ocean water. He also enjoyed gardening, sprouting, and fermenting food. He had a special knack for tying knots and a special way of wrapping Christmas gifts. He was always willing to help fix anything broken and lend a hand whenever he could. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, many beloved cousins and extended family.
