Alexander Jean-Marc Smith

Alexander Jean-Marc Smith, born October 16, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on July 24, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Alexander was a man of warmth, intelligence, and compassion whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him. Known for his kind heart, thoughtful nature, and enduring sense of humor, he formed meaningful relationships wherever life took him. His generosity of spirit and genuine concern for others will be remembered long after his passing.

Alexander was a graduate of Birdville High School in North Richland Hills, Texas. He went on to attend Texas Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. During his time at TCU, he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and proudly competed as a member of the university’s track and field program. He approached life with empathy, curiosity, and a sincere desire to understand and support others. Whether offering encouragement to a friend, sharing laughter with family, or lending a listening ear, Alexander made those around him feel valued and cared for.

Alexander is survived by his loving parents, Dr. Elmer G. Smith, Jr. and Mrs. Ingrid Smith; his oldest sister, Brittany Davoodi, and her husband, Aara Davoodi, of Aubrey, Texas, and their sons, Zayn and Kian; his older brother, Harrison M. Smith, Esq., and his wife, Dr. Amanda D. Smith, of Fort Worth, Texas, and their children, Jeremiah, Selah, and Aliyah; his older sister, Samantha Bretous, of New York, New York; and his beloved maternal grandfather, Mr. Jean R. Pointejour.

Alexander was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Pointejour; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. Elmer G. Smith, Sr. and Mrs. Joyce Smith.

He also leaves behind many cherished extended family members, dear friends, fraternity brothers, former teammates, classmates, and loved ones who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Though his life ended too soon, Alexander’s legacy lives on through the love he gave, the relationships he nurtured, and the lives he touched. His memory will remain a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration to all who knew him.

Funeral Service

A visitation and celebration of Alexander’s life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at:

The Paradox Church 900 W. Belknap Street Fort Worth, Texas

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service: 4:00 p.m. Officiating: Pastor Jim Essian Reception: A light reception will follow the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lucas Funeral Home, with Doug Jones, Funeral Director.
