Alberto, “Beto,” was born August 25, 1983, in Orem, UT while his parents were students at BYU. He passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at a hospital in Grapevine.
After graduating, Beto and his parents moved to Hawaii, where his five siblings were born. Beto attended Hauula Elementary, & Kahuku Intermediate/ High School until his family relocated to Texas. He briefly attended Arlington Heights and Richland High and later got his GED. During that time, he worked at a few fast-food restaurants where he developed his cooking skills and later graduated from ATI in the top 7 of his class. Starting a career in computerized geological topology while living in Austin, he moved into work with metal fabrication until relocating his family to Roanoke. He was holding managerial jobs at both Sonic and Mod Pizza in Roanoke at the time of his passing.
Growing up in Hawaii, Alberto embraced the spirit of Aloha and blossomed into a loving man, overcoming many of life’s obstacles along his way. He later rose to the challenge and privilege of leading a blended family, learning to not only love his own children but the children who looked to him as a father figure. He was an accomplished computer programmer, car mechanic, cook, and father. He loved Hawaiian Reggae and 90's Rap music. He knew how to work hard and love tenderly. Beto will be sorely missed.
Alberto is survived by his only grandparent, Juanita Romo Roy, his wife Rossy, his parents, his five siblings, eight children and four grandchildren.
