Stuart Palmer Cook

May 20, 1979 - January 24, 2022

Stuart Palmer Cook, age 42, died at home in the night on January 24, 2022, while living in Bozeman, Montana. Stuart is survived by his parents, William C. Cook, Sr. and Elizabeth Palmer Cook; three siblings: sister, Cheryl Lee Cook Rodriguez, and her husband, Joel Rodriguez; brother, William C. Cook, Jr. (Billy); and sister, Rachel Elizabeth Cook Saunders. Also, nieces and nephews: Elisa Angelica Rodriguez, Joshua Joel Rodriguez, Anna Raquel Rodriguez, Walter Cruce Saunders, IV (Chris), and Ain Lore Saunders (Lore). Stuart was also blessed with a group of friends from his high school years who enjoyed supporting each other throughout the years. They were affectionately known as the “Crayon Brothers” and even had T-Shirts with “crayons” they wore together on occasions. Stuart received his Masters Degree from Abilene Christian University and then worked toward and earned his LPC License. He presently worked from home as a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator, employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield, a subsidiary of HCSC. Stuart had a huge heart for helping others, which led to his profession as a professional counselor. Just seven months ago, he moved to Bozeman, Montana, still working at home with BCBS, and was enjoying having seasons for the first time in his life experience. Stuart was dearly loved by his family, always brightening family gatherings with his presence. He had a beautiful bass voice and enjoyed sing-along’s with his family. During his high school years, Stuart played soccer, football, and slingshot paintball. He served as referee in kids community soccer games, and was known as the “Gentle Giant” referee. He was an avid fan, watching all games of the Dallas area teams, Cowboys, Mavericks, and Stars. He never missed a soccer US Open Cup. In most recent years, Stuart’s love for games was expressed in playing online games with his long-time friends from high school. His passions were spending time with family and hanging out playing magic and other games with his “Crayon Brothers”. Stuart was a steadfast believer in Jesus Christ and lived his life returning again and again to His image. He was a member of The Hills at North Richland Hills, and for many years enjoyed meeting every 3 or 4 weeks with his mentor/friend, Craig Stone, engaging in long, deeply meaningful, thought provoking and challenging conversations. We believe Stuart is now in his Heavenly Father’s arms. He will be deeply missed, but we will carry the love he shared with us in our hearts. May he rest in peace
