Matthew John Campbell

March 28, 1957 - January 12, 2022

Matthew John Campbell March 28, 1957—January 12, 2022 Matthew was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Thomas Horton Campbell and Janet Ann Cashman Campbell. He and his wife celebrated their 40th Anniversary this past July. He was an avid golfer and played in many charity golf tournaments and at least once weekly for fun. After graduating from Largo High School in Florida, he studied photography and film at Montana State University. Later he attended Aero Tech in Dallas, TX and earned his FAA Airplane and Powerplant license. This led him to become employed by Solar Turbines in DeSoto, Texas where he worked for 25 years. His final position there was as a metrologist (tool calibration) specialist. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Victoria Ann; his mother Janet Ann Cashman Scheuer of Roanoke, Texas; brother Stephen Campbell and his wife, Susan of Gig Harbor, Washington, nephew, Scott Campbell and family of Tacoma, niece, Kelley Valdez and family of San Diego, California; Sister, Carol Campbell of Roanoke, Texas, nephew, Maithiu Campbell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, niece, Sinead Campbell of Irving; brother, Christopher Campbell of Crowley, Texas, nephew, Justin Campbell and family of Fairfield, Pennsylvania; Matt’s twin brothers, William Huber of Cleburne, Texas, nephew, Zachary Huber and family of Cleburne, Texas, niece Ashleigh Huber of Granbury Texas; Clement Huber and wife Shelia of Mansfield, Texas, niece, Jeri Huber and family of Saginaw, Texas, Jacob Huber and family of Arlington, Texas along with a host of many other beloved relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053 at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18 In lieu of flowers please donate to ALS Association of North Texas.
