It is with heavy hearts we inform you of the passing of MaKaylah Tyanna Young, a beloved military child, born on November 15, 2003, in Fayetteville, NC, and tragically departing from us on June 29, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX.
MaKaylah attended Fossil Ridge and Central High School, earning her high school diploma. She found joy in Princess and Disney movies and indulged in the serenity of swimming.
This young soul was deeply loved by her family, including her "husband" Omarion Green; devoted mother, Marquita Foxworth, stepfather, Kevin Foxworth, father, Steven Young, and siblings, Deshaun Young, Christopher Kimp, Alexus Young, Jalen Young, and Ananda Young. She cherished her grandparents, Johnny B. Kimp, Sonia L. Kimp, Robert Young Jr., Olevia Frank, Alex Frank, Gregory Westrooks Sr., Bishop A. Livingston Foxworth, and Lady Karen and Ruth (Nana) Foxworth, along with aunts, Elacia Westbrooks, Renytha Westbrooks, Jazmyn Larcarte, Aquanetta Jackson, Brandice Murphy, Najah Leday, and Elizabeth Foxworth; uncles, Gregory Westbrooks Jr., Robert Young III, Rodney Young, Roosevelt Larcarte, Jeremy Murphy, Ricky Murphy, Ross Jackson and Anthony Foxworth-Harriman; cousins, Mikerah Lewis, Devonte Keller, Jazaya Larcarte, Amir Prier, Graylin Prier, Orianna Bonton, Gregory Westbrooks, Melodie Westbrooks; niece, Mila Young and other extended family members.
MaKaylah was preceded in death by her great maternal grandmother, Lee Anner Dyes; grandfather, Robert Young Sr.; uncle, Lawrence Harris Jr.; great aunt, Dewanda Faye Harris; great uncle, Tony Frank; and great grandmother, Gertrude Westbrooks.
Her life and memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we grieve her unexpected loss, funeral services are planned to honor MaKaylah. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Lucas Funeral Home - Chapel. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at the same location at 9:00 am. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Bourland Cemetery.
