Levi Xavier Reyes

October 27, 2010 - April 1, 2022

Our precious son, Levi Xavier Reyes of Southlake, Texas died surrounded by his family on April 1, 2022 after a very courageous battle with severe autoimmune illness. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 27, 2010. He attended Florence Elementary and then Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School. Though he faced a myriad of challenges that set him apart from his peers in many ways, Levi was always positive, cheerful and rarely complained. He made many friends along the way. He especially enjoyed spending time with his best friends Sadie and Declan, his cousin Jaxon, and his cat, Miss Jingles. Levi loved cats, baseball, shopping, and was an avid collector. You would rarely find him without a stuffed animal in tow, above all being “Butterball, the well fed cat”. He loved hot cocoa, pancakes, s’mores, and ice cream. He never forgot any ones birthday, and always had a gift for them. He dreamed of playing baseball for the Texas Rangers when he grew up, and then becoming a heart surgeon. His favorite color was orange. Levi faced his many health challenges with a resilience and fortitude that inspired all who knew his story. His heart, personality, and temperament were certainly one of a kind. Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Miguel and Michelle Reyes, his siblings, Trey, Alex and CJ Reyes, Maternal grandparents Candy (Richard) Kersten and Robert Lee. Paternal Grandparents Millie (Carlos) Iglesias, and Miguel Reyes, Sr. His long time nanny and caretaker, Melayna Horne, alongside a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. It was an absolute honor to witness the life and death of such a remarkable child. He will be ever loved and deeply missed.
