Jerry Dan Keach was born April 25, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana. His family moved to Carlsbad New, Mexico shortly after, and during his early childhood years they moved to Hurst, Texas.
Jerry graduated from L.D.Bell High School in 1961, and late summer of that year he and his twin brother joined the Navy. They were stationed on the USS Enterprise in Boston, Massachusetts 1962. While attending a USO dance he met the love of his life, Lucille. They went on to spend 60 years married, and with this union was born his only child, Cheryl.
After the service, Jerry moved back to Texas and started a construction company with his twin brother and together they built houses for 25 years. After construction Jerry worked for Mountasia for 10+ years and then retired. During these years Jerry found his passion for Soccer, while watching his daughter and being involved with her journey. He became a referee and officiated more than 2000 games during his reign. He was also an avid deer hunter and never missed an opening day. Later in life he went back to his other passion, Bowling. He bowled weekly with his daughter for over 12 years and started on a senior league after losing his wife and looking for new things to experience. Jerry had a remarkable zest for life, his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered.
Jerry departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, his parents Emma Belle and Louis, his twin brother, Terry, and younger sister, Catherine and younger brother, Johnny.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Cheryl and her husband Carlos Flores of Euless; two grandchildren, Kyle Parsons of Hurst and Carly Anderson of Dallas; and a host of other relatives and friends who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
