James "Kevin" Miller

May 1, 1968 - March 6, 2022

James Kevin Miller, 53 of Bedford, TX was born on May 1, 1968 in Fort Worth, TX. Kevin (as he was known by his friends and family) passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022 in Bedford, TX. Kevin spent his childhood years in North Texas. His young life was spent with his mother, two sisters, and family. He graduated from L.D. Bell High School and attended college in Hurst, TX. Kevin had a long distinguished career in Information Technology, with National Foundation Life, Nations Bank, Citi Group, and 20 years at American Airlines as an IT architect and software programmer. While at American Airlines, Kevin was proudly promoted to Principal Architect. Throughout his career, Kevin’s efforts helped improve and evolve these companies into the modern digital age. He was a great co-worker and admired by all those who worked with him. Kevin had several hobbies, including: playing golf, singing karaoke, strumming a guitar, and being outdoors at the Petty Ranch. He was an awesome cook and loved to spend time grilling on the BBQ. He enjoyed traveling, especially visiting London. Kevin loved his dog, Bear, who he spent lots of time with. Mainly, Kevin loved spending time with family. He was the rock that his family relied on. Kevin embraced being a husband and a father who loved his boys. Kevin was also a great friend and would drop everything to help someone out. He was someone who truly appreciated life and exemplified kindness. Kevin was loved greatly by all who knew him, and will be deeply missed. He was preceded by his father James Miller and mother Iris Davis Miller; and is survived by his sons Brandon and Blake Miller; sisters Julie Lyle and Michelle Siegel; former spouse Kris Shanahan; Linda and Horace Petty; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
