Floyd Fleming

August 12, 1933 - October 5, 2021

Floyd E. Fleming of North Richland Hills passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the age of 88, after having a major stroke. Floyd was married to Patricia Garza on June 7, 2008, two years after they met in the Grief Recovery Program at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills. Floyd spent the majority of his career at Bell Helicopter/Textron, where he retired as an industrial engineer after 38 years. He was active in several Churches of Christ in the Tarrant County area and was a member of Saginaw Church of Christ for the past 15 years. He loved to travel and was an avid photographer. Fishing was always a favorite hobby, and we know he’ll be fishing in Heaven with his friends and family who are welcoming him home. Floyd was predeceased by his first wife of 52 years, Merle Tate Fleming, mother Ruby and father Clarence, sister JoAnn Lyon and husband Ray, and brother Jim Fleming. Survivors: Wife Patricia Fleming of North Richland Hills; sons David Fleming and wife Thuy of Albuquerque, NM, and Jeff Fleming of Dallas; daughter Sharon Marmolejo and husband Frank of Waco; stepson Mike Garza and wife Susanne of Hurst; grandchildren Eric Swafford and wife Audrey of Michigan, Brandon Swafford and wife Michelle of Slidell, LA, Tony Marmolejo and wife Jennifer of Seattle, WA, Yesenia Perez and husband Jhonny of Denver, CO; brother Jerry Fleming and wife Joanie of Brownwood; great-grandchildren Rudy De la Torre, Analise Perez, Jhonny Perez, and Naomi Perez, all of Denver. The Fleming family request mask be worn to the visitation and funeral service.
