Eva Lorraine Bangert, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2022, in Bedford, Texas. Eva was born on July 26, 1927. Eva was a Beloved wife and mother, and a talented home seamstress for many years and never met a sewing challenge. Eva was preceded in death by her siblings, Louie Karger, John Karger, Joan DiMartino, and Shirley Checcino; and her parents John and Nellie Karger of Kentucky. Eva is survived by her Beloved husband, Joseph, married June 6, 1953, and passed eight days prior to their 69th Wedding Anniversary; son, Joseph Bangert, Jr. and wife, Robyn; daughter, Shirley Schochet and husband, William; daughter, Ann Marie Harp; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Jackie Karger and wife, Wanda of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, Texas 76053 on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, with service to follow at 11:00 am.
