Eddie Taylor

March 2, 1945 - October 18, 2021

Eddie Van Taylor, 76, passed away on October 18, 2021 at his ranch in Mineola, Texas. He was the husband of Deena Taylor. They have shared 30 years of marriage and many more years of friendship together. Born in Fort Worth, Texas on March 2, 1945, Eddie was the son of Ernest Taylor, Sr. and Blanche (Barnett) Taylor. He graduated from Carter Riverside High School and attended Texas Christian University. He was a builder in the Fort Worth area for several years until he moved to Houston, Texas to work with his brother. Eddie and his brother, Ernest “Chee” Taylor, built a successful company in the aviation industry which allowed them to represent British Airways for many years. Their success afforded them the opportunity to support hundreds of kids within FFA programs in the Houston area by sponsoring and purchasing many animals over the years. He retired as a Director of the Pasadena Rodeo in 2009 where he had volunteered for several decades. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and his wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Deena Taylor of Mineola, children Tiffany Taylor of Euless, Cody & Jami Taylor of Fort Worth, Cass Miller of Houston, his grandchildren Lillian & Lola Taylor of Fort Worth. He is predeceased by his parents Ernest & Blanche Taylor, his sister Pam Taylor, his brother Ernest Taylor, Jr., his sister-in-law Suzanne Taylor and his son Toby Van Taylor. He will be loved and missed by the many that knew him. Pallbearers will be Jack Moses, Billy Coburn, Ken Dyer, Gerry Monzingo, Jimmy Singletary, Billy Norris, Richard Herring, Cass Miller and Cody Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be John and Michael Watson.
