Dollie Ernestine Owens Tate, born June 30, 1929, at home in the small community of Happy Valley, Nacogdoches County TX to Ernest and Ester Owens, she is preceded in death by her brothers Melvin (Bo) Owens, Clifford Owens and sister LaMerle Evans, as well as her late husband's Buron Risinger, Doug Tate, and Robert Yount-all veterans of WWII.

Ernestine leaves behind her loving family, Tenia Risinger Baker and spouse Bobby Baker, grandchildren Kerry and spouse Keith Barnes, great grandchildren Kyle and Kailey Barnes, Tiffany and spouse Trav Sweatman, great grandchildren Tanner and Tate Sweatman. Van Risinger and spouse June, grandchildren Shani and spouse Britt Core, Dani and spouse Chad Saxon, great grandchildren Rylee, Callen, Kate and Reed Saxon. Steve Risinger and spouse Jana, grandchild Bo Risinger, Belinda Risinger Baggett and spouse Roger Baggett, grandchildren Nathan Risinger, Kelley Risinger Tatum and spouse Robert Tatum, great grandchildren Chance, Cayden and Caitlyn Tatum. And many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ernestine worked hard growing up post depreciation, raising her family mostly on her on. She was employed by Gifford Hill America in accounting and payroll where she met and married Doug Tate.
She was able to quit her job and enjoy their common interest. She was very talented and had many interests such as collecting antiques, certified gemologist, beautiful China painting, making dolls and all their cloths. But Ernie’s love was singing, playing an instrument, entertaining and being with her music friends. She regularly sang The Milk Cow Blues and Red Roses (a song she wrote) and loved the Gospel Hymns.
